Knowledge Pockets

CONCEPT

A collaboration between Brisbane based artists and Holloway to provide Brisbane City with pop-up visual and audio experiences. Our charter is to provide a platform for Brisbane's best and emerging visual, musical and poetic artists to launch works outside of an exhibition environment.

METHOD

The gift of artistic nourishment to Brisbane Cities greatest monuments and key cultural areas will be performed via non-invasive projection sciences. A multi-purpose lightweight mobile device equipped with high quality visual and audio projection hardware will be built by Holloway alongside an online information portal. The portal will give key data to Brisbane City residents of where and when to expect exhibitions as well as provide a nomination and upload facility for the many featuring artists.

BACKGROUND

Holloway has a rich and diverse history of connecting with and promoting local and International artists in Brisbane, Australia. As a locally based design and manufacturing boutique we witness all types of creatives developing skills without opportunities to orchestrate exhibitions or effectively engage art appreciators with their works and message. Our involvement with each artist ensures exposure to larger captive audiences and provides immediate and informative feedback to both our team and the artists.

The following is a suite of collaborative efforts between Holloway and various Brisbane based artists along with educational events Holloway has created and delivered through the State Government.

Patrick Shirley, Co-founder and Principle of Propaganda Mill and key partner in the Zero Dark Sketchy Series supports the Knowledge Pockets Project and had this to offer as testament to our collaborative endeavours.
